Burgeoning Spiderwort
The Burgeoning Spiderwort is a plant in Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3 that produces the berries with the nectar that is needed to make ultra-spicy- and ultra-bitter sprays. They are found in the Awakening Wood, Perplexing Pool, and Wistful Wild in Pikmin 2, and the Tropical Wilds, Garden of Hope, Distant Tundra, and Twilight River areas in Pikmin 3.
In Pikmin 2, Ravenous Whiskerpillars can appear in their vicinity, as well as some type of mold that shows up and keeps the plants from growing. This can be destroyed sufficiently quickly with a medium-large group of Pikmin.
Each plant can have up to five berries at once. Some only contain red berries, some only purple berries, and some contain a mix of the two. In Pikmin 3, since the ultra-bitter spray does not return, only the red-berry Burgeoning Spiderworts exist.

This species of creature has yet to fully evolve from shelled mollusk to the more advanced bloyster. Compared to the bloyster, this creature is significantly smaller. The fact that its mandibles do not protrude as significantly as the ranging bloyster is due in part to the fact that like most mollusks, its vital organs are located deep within the creature's carapace.

- ...that Pikmin 3 Onions can only store up to 9999 Pikmin of a type, and reaching this number will flower them?
- ...that Totaka's song can also play in the cave sublevel memory card warning screen?
- ...that thrown flower Pikmin fall slightly slower, exclusively in the GameCube games?
- ...that The Forest Navel's lakes are based on cave structures in the real world called rimstone dams?
- ...that the Wistful Wild sunset theme uses different instruments in the first loop? And only in the US and European GameCube versions?
